A Calm Dietitian Clinic In The Nottinghamshire Countryside

We invite you to our beautiful dietitian clinic in Nottinghamshire, set within the countryside at Lowes Farm House near Burton Joyce and the River Trent. Around 15 minutes by car from Nottingham city centre and approximately 25 minutes from Newark, the clinic provides a calm, welcoming setting for people who prefer to meet Sophie face to face.

We understand that in a busy and increasingly virtual world, sometimes it can help to step away from screens and have a conversation in person. Our aim is to provide a comfortable environment where you can take your time, ask questions and feel at ease during your appointment.

Welcome To Lowes Farm House

The clinic is located within an 18th-century Grade II listed farmhouse in the Nottinghamshire countryside, close to Stoke Bardolph and Burton Joyce and opposite the River Trent.

The surrounding countryside is an important part of what makes the setting feel different from a more traditional clinical environment. Being close to nature can provide a quieter atmosphere before and after your appointment, particularly if you are discussing something personal or sensitive.

The clinic itself is designed to feel calm and welcoming rather than formal or rushed.

Why Choose An In-Person Dietitian Appointment?

Online consultations can be convenient and allow us to support people across the UK, but some people simply feel more comfortable meeting face to face.

An in-person appointment provides more opportunity to get to know one another in the same space and can feel particularly valuable when discussing more sensitive areas of nutrition, including eating disorders, disordered eating, pregnancy or concerns around your relationship with food.

Where clinically appropriate and relevant to your care, an in-person appointment may also allow Sophie to take measurements such as:

  • Height

  • Weight

  • Blood pressure

Any measurements should be relevant to your individual care. They are not the purpose of every appointment, particularly where weighing or body-related discussions require a more sensitive approach.

A Clinic Designed For Calm & Conversation

Dietetic appointments can involve conversations about subjects that feel very personal.

Food, eating habits, digestive symptoms, pregnancy, body image and eating-disorder recovery can all be difficult to discuss. Having a private, calm environment can help create space for those conversations without the distractions that often come with joining an appointment from home or work.

Sophie takes a personalised and non-judgemental approach, giving you time to explain what has been happening and what you would like support with.

There is no expectation that you arrive with all the answers. The appointment is an opportunity to talk things through and begin identifying what may be helpful for you.

Getting To Our Nottinghamshire Clinic

Our clinic is located at Lowes Farm House, in the countryside near Burton Joyce and Stoke Bardolph.

It is easily accessible by car, with free parking available when you arrive.

The clinic is approximately:

  • 15 minutes from Nottingham city centre

  • 25 minutes from Newark

This makes the clinic accessible for people travelling from Nottingham and surrounding parts of Nottinghamshire, while online appointments remain available for those who live further away or prefer to meet remotely.

Take Some Time By The River Trent

One of the benefits of the clinic's countryside setting is its proximity to the River Trent.

The riverside walks nearby provide an opportunity to spend some time outside before or after your appointment if you would like to. The area is home to local wildlife, including herons and egrets, and during part of the year cattle can also be seen grazing nearby.

There is also a flock of friendly chickens living on site.

You do not need to make the walk part of your visit, but it is there if you would value a little extra time outdoors before heading home.
